he was 26-1 was Jamesis. Pretty average the rest of the time. Lets be real 10 wins a year in the ACC isn't that impressive. Aside from Clemson who has been any real competition in his tenure there? He is a good coach and works well with QB's and there are so many jobs open that schools will overpay.

Is he a hot commodity, though?

A&M giving someone a truckload of money doesn't mean anyone else would.

This has to set some sort of record for a contract given to a coach with a losing record that year right?

I, like many FSU fans are tired of him using other schools to get a raise here every year.

It’s Sexton’s standard operating procedure. We went through the exact same thing with Saban when he was at LSU. EVERY year around Thanksgiving, rumors would come up about Saban leaving (I remember Colts, Giants, etc). Saban would never deny them, and he always got a big raise and a new contract at the end of the year.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but Fisher reminds me of Meyer at UF. Sometimes a great coach needs a change of scenery.

He continues to recruit and recruit well. Frankly, I'd like to see him go, but that's because I, like many FSU fans are tired of him using other schools to get a raise here every year.

Saban did the same at LSU, and finally bolted for Miami. LSU would sure like to have those worries every year.

His name was brought up with many openings this year.

Best of luck to him and Aggie but I predict in three years Aggie will be trying to figure out a way to buy out the contract.

There are a handful of coaches in the country who have gone to a program, built it up, and won a championship.

Fisher is one of them, and probably the only one who's even remotely available.

This season was a train wreck, but the evidence is there to support him as an elite CFB coach. Now he's at a school with virtually unlimited resources.

Focusing on this season as an argument against him is no different than focusing on this season as an argument FOR Orgeron. It's about the bigger picture.
