I hate that Tulane is always reactive and never proactive. Our lazy AD should have given Fritz a blank check 30 seconds after the Cincinnati game ended.

He's lucky that Fritz and Hunter panned out. He would be out of a job if they didn't.

Did he though? I guess Tulane isn’t one of the worst teams in the country like a few years ago but we’re still pretty bad

I totally understand your point. I think y'all would be happier in an Ivy League 2.0 situation with Vandy, Stanford, ND and Northwestern.

I hope something like that pans out, because the NIL has made the casual fan lose even more interest. I don't have anything against pro sports, they just don't interest me.

If Willie leaves it will be for the same reason Tommy
Bowden did.Lack of fan support. No coach wants to coach
B4 2000 fans every week.Its like a morgue at a Tulane game.

Tommy Bowden left b/c Clemson paid his a frick ton of money to be their coach. A small private school is almost never going to be able to out bid a big public school that has 4-5 times more potential donors. shite, Notre Dame of all schools couldn't even keep Kelly from leaving to LSU.

We actually matched Clemsons financial offer to everyone's surprise. He left bc it was tougher to get kids in and keep them elgible bc of the Academic BS, to play in the ACC instead of CUSA, to coach in front of 65-80,000 fans instead of 25-30,000, amongst a host of other reasons. Also he and his wife wanted out of New Orleans badly.

Fritz on Kaare Johnson

Link to Fritz interview on local radio this evening with Kaare Johnson. Starts at 1:39. GT talk at 1:45.

Think you can read what you will. Biggest line to me was Kaare directly asking “will you be the coach at Tulane next year”

Fritz: “I want to be” and then some more.

Saying “want” there instead of intend to, etc. makes me think maybe he is hoping for a tulane to match salary for him and/or assistants? Or make facilities commitment?

Fritz wants Tulane to pay him and his staff after the best season in nearly 30 years and one of best ever in the history of Green Wave football.

Whether they do it or not, I don’t know. Tulane’s athletic department is like the damn CIA everything is kept under wraps.

seems pretty clear you dont know what the hell a triple option offense is my guy.

Pretty obvious as an A&M fan that you don’t know what an offense is.

Cause peaster68 sent the A.D a video about the option and says Fritz runs the triple option even though we don't and now he is trying to say that an RPO offense is basically the triple option.... so now we can say that all play action passes are now RPO so we have to basically say every offense that uses any type of play action is triple option....
