Wishful thinking but I really hope Willie doesn't want to go rebuild a program.

Hold on now! Tweet by Pete Thamel this evening

Sources: Georgia Tech interviewed Tulane coach Willie Fritz today. No deal has been struck to make him Tech’s next coach. Fritz is a top candidates, but there’s other interviews scheduled for upcoming days.

If I had to bet this is him looking for another contract raise from Tulane.

That sucks for Tulane especially during Championship Week. I hope this don't distract the team, because I want them to beat the ever living hell out of UCF.

Its sad if Tulane loses Willie. If it is a fact that he
is meeting with GT that means he wants to leave.I wouldn`t
blame him because of the empty stands 98% of the time,
Tulane should just go down to a lower level and save money.

He has interviewed with other teams in the past. I believe he got a contract increase after one of the meetings.

That’s business

Fritz is old. This could be his last chance to coach in the P5. He should take it, no question.

It will be his last. He should take it. Did a great job at Tulane.

If he did decide to take it I think a good portion of the fanbase wouldn't be upset with him. I wonder what type of candidates Tulane could attract if he did decide to leave.

If he leaves, next man up.

Tulane just can’t hire complete idiots in a row again like Scelfo-Toledo-Johnson

AAC will be watered down and someone can rack up a lot of wins Uptown.

Hopefully it’s just Tech being thorough. He seems to be the distant 3rd choice, at least among Tech fans, after Key and Chadwell.

I wouldn’t blame him for going, but hope he stays. They’ll build a damn statue of him Uptown if he makes the Cotton Bowl.

Anyone else find it funny that GT ends up with a triple option coach again?

Good luck to him if true. TD will have to knock this next hire out of the park.
