Anyone else find it funny that GT ends up with a triple option coach again?

They also poached Perry Clark from us.

Although that was doing us a favor.

I just spoke with a booster at GA Tech and it’s completely quiet over there. Booster and former players have not been told anything yet.

If Fritz is the guy it may not be a quick turnaround but he will turn it around. Fritz does have a habit of dropping a game that he shouldn't....see USM this year.

He's not a bad coach but he isn't bringing Tech back.

Apparently you know nothing about Fritz nor have watched any of his previous teams. This year was out of the ordinary with him going a different route with a new offensive coordinator.

Triple option teams usually don't average 20 passing touchdowns a season.... perhaps you should have done some research before you posted....

Did you ever see Fritz’s teams at Central Missouri, Sam Houston or Georgia Southern? Fritz has an option based philosophy but isn’t hardheaded, like Paul Johnson, and will adapt.

perhaps you should have done some research before you posted....

He didn’t run triple option at Georgia Southern.

The guy wrote “option” not “triple option”. They are not necessarily the same thing. Nebraska ran the option, but it wasn’t triple option.

Fritz most certainly ran the option at Sam Houston and Ga Southern. It just wasn’t the triple option like Ga Southern had run previously.

Yes he did. Doesn’t have to be under center double wing to be triple option.

Called “triple” because the QB has the option to give, pitch, or keep. Figured some of you needed clarity and video evidence.

He hasn't run a triple option at Tulane. He sorta ran it year one and then went more rpo. If he hasn't done it in years doesn't mean that he run a triple option.

frick dude take the L.

He has had 3 different offensive coordinators in 3 years. They were not 'triple option' guys.... Doug Ruse was a 'dive' guy.... (since you obviously don't know anything about Tulane Ruse ran the dive a ton) which is a joke most Tulane fans who watched games will understand.

So he will take something he hasn't really done in 8 years or more and run it at his next school....

I hear you and fully understand it. I’m UGA alum and Georgia Southern alum. I either watched or attended every game he coached at Georgia Southern. He did not run triple option. It was a hybrid spread. There have definitely been triple option HC at Georgia Southern. Jeff Monken was the last.

My fault, shouldn’t have used the word triple.

But you did several times which makes it seem like you actually thought so.
