Will Jerry Jones make a move on Saban?

If Saban wins a title maybe he listens, but I think he retires at Bama

Jerry has his heart set on Miles. The Hat just wins.

I personally think the only NFL job Saban would leave for would be NE, and only if they were still loaded. I think he would also have to have a title at Bama, as well, but he should have than in just over a month. I don't see Belichick stepping away any time soon, but you never know. Saban is one of his boys, so you would have to think he would get a look.

Saban was in no danger of being fired at Miami

he left. he prefers college

and he's a better coach now than he was when he left

You never know. When money talks, Saban walks. Jerry Jones definitely has the money.

Nope. Jones has made it well known that Jason Garrett (OC) will be the next head coach.

I've said this before in other threads, but I will say it again here. I think Saban would strongly consider leaving for two positions, the NE scenario I mentioned, and USC. If he did, I don't believe it would have anything to do with money. It would be an "immortality move." We all know Saban is an awesome coach, but he doesn't have enough years to eclipse the Bear. He would be know as one of, and maybe the best, coach of our time. If Saban left for either of the two positions I mentioned, he could become one of the unquestioned best of all time. He could be the only coach ever to take three different programs to NCAA titles, or he could get two NCAA titles and a Super Bowl. Plus, you have the fact that the NFL is the only blemish on an otherwise spotless record.

The rub here, of course, is that neither Belichick or Carrol are going anywhere anytime soon. There is probably a 80-90% chance that Saban retires at Bama, but I think that these are legitimate possibilities, if they fell in place at the right time.

Jerry likes to win...but I agree that he wouldn't be willing to give up the total control that Saban would demand.

Dallas is one of the few situations that could tempt Saban though.

1.) Not a control freak...I assume he doesnt coach anything since we blame coordinators and position coaches every year.
2.)Almost the same resume as Jimmy Johnson when Jerry hired him.
3.)Used to coach tight ends for Jerry and Jerry says he has a lot of respect for him.
4.) Jerry can frick LSU and help his beloved Ar-kansas with a January hire.
