It would be an added bonus for him.
Seriously though, I'm just being a homer. I'm pretty sure Jason Garret is the coach in waiting anyways.

Cowboys fans feel about Garrett the same way LSU fans feel about Crowton but Jerry's the guy that fired Tom Landry while he was playing golf and Jimmy Johnson after he won his second Super Bowl so he doesn't care what people think.

Nick may have an ego the size of Texas, but the guy is also pretty intelligent, and appears to be able to learn from past experiences. I think he knows he has a sure thing, and is not going to do anything to screw it up. Besides, who the hell would want to work for a dick like Jerry Jones?

although Jerry and Les are a great fit, and could potentially happen one day soon, Jason Garrett is the next head coach of the Cowboys.

If Wade goes after this season Garrett goes. There's no way Garrett gets promoted right now with the offense unable to be consistent.

Shannahan, Cowher, Gruden, and Miles are at the top of his list -- yes Miles.

Great posts to read through, I had no idea so many of you think Miles is high on Jerry's list. I think Jerry is under more pressure to win then ever because of the new stadium and how much he has invested in this team. He must win now because in just a short few years his current team will be too old to win. Jimmy Johnson was a control freak. Besides Barry Switzer winning with Jimmy's Boys Jimmy is the only successful coach he's had. Saban is another Jimmy and I think Jerry knows it. Will he pull the trigger on Saban? I say there is a 50/50 chance. Jerry has got to win a Super Bowl now so this next hire is his all in roll of the dice.

As a Cowboys fan I say PLEASE GOD LET THIS HAPPEN.
As an LSU Fan, I say PLEASE GOD LET THIS HAPPEN.
I think Saban is done with the NFL though. he knows the game there and I don't think he wants any part of it anymore.
Now, if Jerry offered him $10M a year and equal say in personnel he may consider since Dallas does have a nice bit of talent to work with.

I don't think Saban's soul can rest until he returns to the NFL and wins. It's part of his make up.
