I definitely did. I liked his upside. After the fact I think Kelly provides much more stability and he's proven that he can both build and sustain success. Riley running from the SEC makes me feel like we dodged a bullet.

I did too. Everyone’s acting like we dodged a bullet but he was the premier choice up to 3 days ago. I’m happy with the Kelly hire also.

I def would have preferred Riley. QB development has been lacking here for a long time. Let’s be honest Kelly doesn’t have a great track record of developing QB himself.

Anyone hear what Dilfer had to say on Russilo’s pod this week about projecting Riley at USC? Very interesting and worth a listen, he points out some stuff to watch for that goes a lot deeper than what the media is capable of analyzing. And it’s not saying Riley sucks or he’ll fail at SC, but definitely advising everyone to pump the brakes on chalking him up as PAC12 champ and in the final 4 every season.
