Let me guess… you want Napier

A quick search brought this gem up. He won't change.
Lane mouth

He said get your popcorn ready before a big game and you think that disqualifies the guy

See, this is the kind of shite I’m talking about. People get ideas in their heads about something and will use any stupid shite to validate that initial impression.

What do you want him to say before his squad of 3 stars faces off against the 5 star Death Star?? We’re fricked, you might as well all go home?

I personally like that the guy is having fun

I’m not hating on Aranda. But he hasn’t proven he can run a power 5 program either.

No, IMO Napier is too green for the job.
Mario Cristobal would be my #1 choice.

I'd love to see Lane land in BR...I have no doubt his innovation on offense and take no prisoners approach could become a monster at LSU. He'd definitely have all the tools at his disposal to make that happen.
We need someone who will attract dynamic QBs- and he fits that criteria. If we want to compete with Alabama, that is what it will take.

I am not excited about possibly going with a HC known for coaching defense. This time, LSU should go in another direction. Hire the QB guru- and then hire a top DC to handle the other side of the ball.

That was hilarious.

He said it looks like they didn't plug the microwave in.

See Oakland, Tennessee, and USC.

He gets a bit of a bad rap based on some things that happened when he was anointed as a wunderkind at 30 years old and couldn’t quite handle the power, fame, and responsibility that came with that hype.

After Oakland, his on field results have been good to stellar.

He jumped from Tennessee to USC quickly, which shouldn’t have surprised anyone when that job unexpectedly came open. He didn’t leave USC voluntarily. Then stayed at Alabama as a coordinator for as long as anyone should have expected. He then stayed at FAU, which was clearly a stepping stone job, longer than I thought he would honestly.

yea and at FAU he wasnt that great. If you want to take what he has done from FAU on.....well then Billy Napier and Jamie Chadwell have better resumes.

not saying i wouldnt be happy with Kiffen....but the double standard is so fricking dumb.

Except Kiffin has done VERY well at Ole Miss. Why are you ignoring his SEC experience as a head coach?

5-5 is very well? cause that is what he did last year. Sure this year is looking better but lets let the season play out first. They still have 3 or 4 games they could lose this year.

Concise and to the point.

He either wears out his welcome or gets kicked to the curb every two to three years.

An 11-3 season at FAU was considered sub-par? Wow- I didn't know they set the bar so high there...

he was 26-13 and had a losing season. Napier has been much better at a harder place to win and playing a better conference. hell compare the conference records

if napier isnt qualified then neither is kiffin.

in comparable jobs

Lane @ FAU- 26-13 with a 5-7 season in there & 18-6 in conf usa.

Napier @ULL- 33-12 with no losing seasons and if you take out the first year and only include last three

26-5 and 17-2 in conference.

has kiffen done something at UT, USC or OM to make him some stellar candidate i dont know about?
