FWIW I agree with others…Cristobal is a more polished and professional version of O…recruiter, motivator, doesn’t call plays, doesn’t really have coordinator experience, CEO type coach that is dependent on good coordinators
I was reading something about him earlier and it said that he implemented the spread offense that turned fiu around and got them to a bowl after the long losing streak before he got there.
That could mean the same thing o did here by demanding a spread offense even though he had nothing to do with designing it.
I’m starting to see what y’all mean

His name is literally on the list of coaching candidates by Chicken posted at the opening of the Coaching Changes board.

This board is too busy Riley dreamin
I’ll be honest, I’m kinda blown away with the fact that people think we may get Riley. That shite just ain’t happenin

Is everyone assuming he’s waiting on bama? He’s got to be the top coach on every teams wish list. Is he just not someone that would leave where he is for LSU
No

I may not have read and memorized every name on this board, sorry. I do know there’s a thread for like 15 names and he isn’t one of em
Posted on 10/20/21 at 5:27 pm to TruthSpeaker225
What’s the deal with the bama fans fascination with him? Just because he’s been theee before?
Posted on 10/20/21 at 5:49 pm to Tigerpride18
He has Les Miles' clock management skills. Actually, it is a little worse. No thx.

Literally anyone can coach Oregon…… anyone

To me mc is a better version of Dabo
Based on what? He had one really good Rose Bowl year where Oregon gagged away a CFP shot.

Along with every other reason in this thread, Cristobal is a Miami alum, and that job could be open soon. Let him go there.

I'm definitely not sold on him, but the sheer lack of smoke around him for any of the jobs (he showed up for USCw immediately but otherwise nada) is awfully suspicious and makes me wonder if he's the true guy for one of the two while the others are more agents advertising for future coaching searches.

I think dabos on his way down and mc is on his way up. Just the way it feels to me

He's got a better job already.

No smoke around him lately. I could see woody pulling him out of nowhere.

He’s not leaving Oregon
Posted on 10/20/21 at 9:50 pm to RogerTheShrubber
He does have a better job at Oregon than he would have at Miami, but he might not think so. Some guys just feel that allure of home. I have no idea with him.

If he wins out and say he goes to the playoff , does anyone on this board have Phil Knight money.....maybe some of the crypto masters on the money board?
