LSU seems to always be a year ahead or a year late for hiring the best coaches. It's the Alleva way. They could have had a better coach had they just fired Miles in 2015 or just waited until after this year. Miles would have won the same amount of games this year anyway.

IMO, Frost would have been a much better option than Herman but the only drawback would have been his desire to coach at Nebraska. Would he have even taken the job and for how long would he have stayed.

Lincoln Riley was there for the taking. But people said LSU's too big of a job for a first time HC.

Hopefully we ditch this ridiculous train of thought the next time we're up. There's a lot of talented guys out there but yeah you have to take a risk on some of them. And by that I don't mean a stupid risk like hiring a known loser.

Frost would've been great but we don't have to limit ourselves to "proven" guys. There's so few of those guys to go around in the first place.

He would have left LSU this year for Nebraska had they hired him. That is his dream job
