Chadwell has won at several schools. He took over a fledgling North Greenville team and got them to the D-II playoffs.
He had winning seasons all four years at Charleston Southern and got them to the playoffs twice.
He’s done well at Coastal.

GT is a horrid place for a coach. If he wins there, the elite programs will come running for him.

Pretty good list.

I'd probably rank Fickell at the top. I think Leipold probably waits at least another year at Lawrence before taking a higher-profile gig.

Still have reservations about Kiff. Wouldn't be unhappy if AU ends up with him. Actually I'd be happy with pretty much every name on this list, save for Chadwell (would replace him with Aranda).

Ever? He's beaten the two "elite" coaches on your list.

Urban Meyer is the only elite available coach. If ADs arent at least kicking the tires on him, they are stupid.

i dont think he wants any part of the SECW these days though. I think Notre dame or USC was his perfect job until he had the scandal. No great openings this year for him.

1. Matt Rhule (my pick as to AU's next coach)
2. Luke Fickell
3. Matt Campbell
4. James Franklin
5. Jamey Chadwell

Why are we not talking about Matt Rhule?

Jeff Traylor would be a good candidate for a lower tier P5 until he further proves himself.

Currently 28-9 over his time at UTSA, which is not a great program. They're sitting at 9-2 this season

I actually forgot about him and would probably put him at No. 2 on my list, bumping Chadwell off.
