Which, if any, assistants survive the purge?

Jake Peetz OC
Daronte Jones DC
Brad Davis OL
Andre Carter DL
Mickey Joseph WR
Kevin Faulk RB
Corey Raymond DB
Blake Baker LB
Greg McMahon ST
Tommy Moffit S&C
You have to imagine a new coach wants at least some modicum of continuity and familiarity within the program and may not purge the entire staff. I wouldn't mind seeing Carter and Davis retained on the lines, particularly Davis as a student of Pittman. Raymond is always highly thought of as DBs coach and a recruiter.

If they are smart...and this hasn't been proven in the past....they will leave that up to the new guy.

Came here to say this. Those dudes are legacies to LSU, and great recruiters and Tigers. Goodbye everyone else including Moffit!!

I think Raymond and Davis will be the most likely.
Faulk’s appeal is obvious, but he still has plenty to prove as a coach and recruiter and that is a spot some coaches may want to put a guy who’s more proven as a closer in. I do think he will be considered, though.
McMahon would certainly be considered, but I am guessing he retires.
Baker is the only other one I think may have a chance, but it’s an outside chance. I don’t think he’s done a terrible job considering most of our LBs seem to be square pegs in round holes. They are playing better than last year, even if that just means average. He has ties to the state through his wife and he’s looked promising as a recruiter. I don’t think he’s retained, but there’s an argument to be made.
On the off chance that Brady is hired, I guess Peetz and his buddies might be retained. I think the probability of this is very low, all around.
All this said, any coach we hire should be able to bring in the staff they choose, rather than have anyone forced on them. I just think the reality of the early signing period makes casting off an entire staff hard if there are some good options already in place.

Yeah I wasn't sure on Baker. I see it the same as you, they've improved since last year. They've improved since game 1. Has he done enough to keep his job? Who knows. A new coach is likely to only retain a couple of preexisting coaches. He's going to want to build his own staff and hire through his network. But like I said I do think it's tough to entirely purge the staff and not leave anyone who knows your players. You sort of need that link for an inside scoop and as a link for rapport building.

I like LSU's assistants way more than I like the head coach (other than Peetz and Daronte who are vastly unqualified to be coordinators to begin with). I'm not going to melt if any of them are kept, though I haven't been all that impressed with Baker coaching the LB's. Baker looked good on paper but meh results. Wouldn't melt if he were retained but haven't seen enough to care one way or another.

Everyone's job performance should be up for review.

Faulk and Raymond-are staying.
If Faulk leaves it will be because of the family situation.

When the new coach gets here im sure he will completely change over the staff and not keep anyone. if I was a head coach that came to a high profile job its because you are losing that I was hired so I would not retain any of the staff and send then all packing including Moffit.
I would want my guys not the old coaches guys.

Got to keep Raymond, he is dbu

This kind of shite is why we wind up with Ed Orgeron as Head Coach. Demanding people are kept on staff because they're good guys, Alums, or LA natives is the dumbest thing imaginable.
No premier Head Coach will consider the job if you dictate his staff. Billy fricking Napier turned down Auburn because they were telling him what coaches had to stay on.

Corey Raymond. Mickey Joseph. Maybe Andre Carter

Either clean the whole damn house out or leave it up to the new coach. I’m fine cleaning it out.

Weirdly, I think Brad Davis is a keeper. Him and Raymond I’d like to stick around.
Also, McMahon has certainly done a great job at ST.
I love Kevin Faulk, but he’s got no rep as a coach.

Unless a new head coach has an ace recruiter who’s also a special teams guy in mind, or doesn’t want special teams to be handled by an on-field position, I think his interest would at least be gauged. However, he’s 60 and may be ready to hang it up.

A new coach is not going to be told who he can and can not keep on staff. At least not one worth a shite. He may choose to keep a couple on though mainly for recruiting purposes.
