People are just afraid of the possibility of Texas swooping in and getting Herman, at the last minute. A reasonable fear, I suppose.

Chicken littles are chicken littles.
I label it defeatism, which is inherent in Louisiana culture. Saban called this out when he was hired at LSU.
I understand the believe it when you see it mentality, but IMO this is overboard. It's basically good news == we're fricked. Glass empty.

Basically, a theory emerged that the Herman to LSU story was leaked by Hermans camp to precipitate a meeting with the Texas AD, which has sent emissaries armed with a blank check.

A very reasonable fear, but it does appear as though LSU swooped in and got Herman from Texas.
If Alleva pulls it off, and I think he will, this will be one for the ages.
