Absolutely nothing. They should pull the interim tag after a huge win today.

This is why I wish we did not have an open board sometimes.

What's wrong with giving a more qualified coach a chance?

making the wrong coaching hire could set the program back years. look at Mike Dubose at Alabama or the two guys they hired at UT before Botch. Look at the jokers they hired at OM prior to Hugh. One of those jokers was coach O.

Nailed it.

But don't expect reason to sway the emotional snowflake O pumpers.

You see Florida, with astounding talent and underwhelming results? Same with Georgia, Texas, USC, Miami, etc?

Coaching matters. Leadership matters.

You need an elite coach to have an elite program. CEO is not 'elite,' and the program will likely reflect that within a year or two.

"What's wrong with giving a more qualified coach a chance?"

Nothing, but who has definitively said they want the job except Coach O? At this point, it's all speculation...and automatically ruling out someone that is winning before the interview process has even started is just part of a bad decision making process.

For the record, I am a Herman fan...And I'm ok with a Fisher...but both situations seem murky right now, so I'm saying at this point, Coach O could be given a chance...

No it's not. Their resumes are there for all to see.

There are people with better resumes who would drop everything right now to come here.

No, O. He has changed from balls to the wall to playing not to lose.

And I wouldn't touch Fedora with a 10 foot pole. Trust me, we do not want him either.
