The proposed short contract would also kill any chance of bringing in a top tier staff for O to lean on, thus negating hiring him in the first place. Potential hires would not want to sign on for a short contract unless they are desperate or just more washed up, recycled coaches looking for a retirement gig. This trying to find unconventional ways to justify hiring the Cajun Messiah has gotten ridiculous. Coach O is a great recruiter and defensive coach, not a proven stable Head Coach.

O needs to prove that he can win at a mid major school (if hired?) because of his failed resume at Ole Miss. LSU is too big of a school for O to prove that he can win or fail.

You fricking retard. There wouldn't be a person here against O if he actually won a NC. Instead they are against him because they remember how terrible he was at Ole Miss.
People here are against Jimbo after he recruited and developed one of the best college QB's ever, and won an NC with him at the helm. That is more alarming than being against O, who has a career losing record, and is just a horrible head coach.

Yea, only the children are for hiring a national championship winning coach who is known as one of the top QB developers in cfb over a guy who was our DL coach 2 months ago.
