There is no evidence, even from insiders. It’s all conjecture based on things like he hasn’t come out and said “I’m not leaving, don’t ask again”

When is there ever any evidence of anything from insiders for anything? They are the evidence. They don’t post screenshots of conversations with coaches about recruits but they are trusted to be telling the truth.

This has been a unique process for sure.
What it seems like to me:
-LSU pursued Riley, made offer
-OU and boosters try to get together a new package to keep him
-Too much leaking and info getting out there so Riley wanted it to die down.
I think it is possible that Riley had everyone cool the talk down and wanted time to think about his options. But Woodward can't wait around till after the Big12 title game to see what he will do.
So Woodward had to put feet to the fire to make a decision. The fact that OU hasn't announced an extension speaks volumes. But LSU can't announce this early since OU is still in the thick of Big12 title and playoffs. So Riley doesn't want anything announced this early either, he has a team to think about.
