Miles
114-35
66-28 in sec
Multiple BCS bowls
1 national championship
3-7 against Saban

Refused to adapt to modern football spread offense

Jimbo
116-35
21-10 in sec
Multiple BCS bowls
1 national championship
1-4 vs saban

Refuses to adapt to modern college football offense.

They are almost identical in terms of stats. Both good recruiters and had stellar defenses.

If Woodwards search started and ended with Jimbo then wtf man. Big if of course.

SW and JF are buddies.

Hard to argue what you’re saying.

Comparing Jimbo to Les in terms of stubbornness of adapting offenses is laughable.

If you don’t like Jimbo, fine, I don’t either, but that comparison is asinine.

Every single time someone posts this, they can never substantiate it or give examples. Because it's just demonstrably wrong.

And yet it continues to be posted on this board.

Miles took over a Saban ran program and Jimbo took over a Kevin Sumlin ran program

The more you make up fantasy, the more people will accept that maybe Jimbo is the right guy

Miles (without LSU talent)
31-39

Jimbo (without LSU talent)
116-35

That is why the search should have started and ended with Jimbo. He wants to be here and no where else. And hes proven he can take teams to the best years in their history: FSU won a NC, Texas A&M highest ranking in 82 years

Jimbo can develop QB’s. Jimbo has taken more than one school to a NY6/BCS game.

Jimbo inherited a dumpster fire from Sumlin and is on the verge of back to back 10 win seasons.

Miles inherited a Nick Saban program and eventually allowed to become a dumpster fire.

Jimbo has developed multiple QB’s. Miles…

Les Miles is 2-18 in his last 20 games as a head coach.

Jimbo likes to pass the ball while Miles prefers to run the ball and not pass the ball except on 3rd and long.

You've went to great effort to make a comparison that has way too much contrast

The talent levels don't compare for one, but really, I would concentrate on the most important difference.

Jimbo can identify and develop the QB position.

Miles never had a QB that he signed out of high school become a legitimate SEC caliber QB. The closest one would be Mett, and he signed and started at GA, then transferred

I think Jimbo has had 4 QBs that he has signed out of high school and worked with in some capacity that have won NCs

Look at what he did with Josh Booty and Rohan Davey in just one spring and fall camp.

It's not that Jimbo is known for some revolutionary high powered offense. It's that he knows how to take what he has and make it work. There's a big difference between those two schools of thought.

Les Miles took what he had and made it look like the 1970's Michigan teams he played on. Regardless of what talent he had or not.
