What's the best coaching job available right now?

Penn State
Southern Miss
Houston
Arizona State
Hawaii
Fresno State
Colorado State
Arkansas State
Akron
These are the schools currently looking for head coaches. I'd think Houston. Good program and recruiting base. Don't want to be at Penn State for legal reasons or following in JoePa's footsteps. Maybe ASU. What's your opinion?

Penn St is in the best shape as far as talent. Hawaii would be a nice job but not for football reasons. Arizona St isn't a bad job but it may be harder to sustain and improve than you'd think.

Are any of the other jobs available? Penn State maybe, but that'll be toxic for a few years. ASU isn't all that great.

Didn't June Jones complain that he was only given money to make one recruiting trip to the mainland or something like that? Whatever it was, my impression was that Hawaii's football program operates on a shoestring budget.
And I've been to Hawaii many times. While I agree that it probably has the best climate in the US, it gets old being on an island hours from anywhere.

If I got offered all those jobs, it comes down to Penn State and Arizona State. The pedd state issues wouldnt bother me, but the being compared to jo pa would. So arizona state. Plus the women are

i think asu because u can sneak into cali and texas and really rule arizona if u can beat out the wildcats

Houston is moving to a better conference, is about to build a new stadium, and sits in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. The job isn't chopped liver.
