What blows my mind most of all is a news outlet can just request to see text messages like they are the FBI... and get them!

the swanky dinner

Jesus, I love Ruth’s and all, but what was the point of adding “swanky” here in this article??

It’s Ruth’s, not dinner in Paris

how would they know this besides this being a plant story

They did an FOIA and are complaining that Woodward didn't leave a paper trail. They just reported the little bit of relevant info that there was.

I don't know why they're surprised. Woodward's background is government PR. Hiding things from FOIA is literally his specialty.

It was Tate, Scott Woodward, Dale Brown, Collis Temple and Walter Monsour. I didn’t see a CL.

Probably just a dinner with some big time donors to finalize the funds for the buyout and new coach.

That’s why a lot of times schools use a search agency. The agency’s main purpose isn’t to search for coaches, but to funnel communications through them so they aren’t subjected to open records laws for public employees.

The more you know. I've never heard of this. Just crazy to me that they have to be that much of an open book.

Not much except they love them some Mulkey lol

quote:

In a string of text messages, Woodward and Tate share their fondness of new LSU Women’s Basketball Coach Kim Mulkey. After Woodward had to send Tate her number in September, Tate wrote back, “outstanding flagshipping [sic] performance! I spoke with Coach Mulkey. Good discussion…”

“Excellent,” Woodward wrote back.

“She is special!” Tate responded.
