We cannot possibly have Herman under contract until after his game tomorrow

He can't coach the game against Memphis while under contract with us.
He can't be under contract with LSU and coach the Memphis game.
Nothing can be decided definitively until tomorrow.
Why would anyone say he has signed or be upset that he hasn't signed?

As a Raider fan, I've seen a lot of highly secretive coaching searches. The dam usually breaks about 3-4 days before the "timeline" of selections. I predicted the dam would break on Wednesday, with leaks becoming floods.
I semi-sorta-kinda missed it by a day, but the principle was accurate. The tea leaves are there to be read. The smoke is smoldering.

Because they failed English comprehension. Not everyone has a competent English teacher. The tier-3 English teacher at the high school I graduated from used "I seen" in her vocabulary. I cringed every time I heard her attempt to form a sentence.

Sure he can be under contract starting at a future date. The contract date starts Dec 1. Or any future date they agree on.

We frankly don't have a clue what's going on and should wait a little bit before crucifying anyone. Just like last year when half the fan base hated Alleva for keeping Les when it turns out Alleva was overruled.

So how do coaches leave for another team, and an interim ends up coaching their bowl game?
