I don't understand how the OP got so many upvotes.

There's no law saying that Herman couldn't have signed an agreement to coach LSU next year while still being under contract to coach Houston this year.

What you can do with a contract is almost limitless.

This situation is well within legal documentation.

I'm not saying that Herman has or has not signed, just that it is possible he has signed a coaching contract at this point.
