Dude looked blown away. He did well with a lot less at JSU.

After watching that, I’d like to know how new those facilities are. All I’ve heard for weeks is how Colorado doesn’t care about football. Yet, here we are looking at pretty great facilities for football.

This is Colorado's attempt to bypass competing in the NIL sphere. I'm sure they could put up a decent NIL collective but I'm guessing their hope is Deion can convince some talented kids to come to Boulder for the experience with Deion over going to a Bama/Georgia/Ohio St. for the NIL. Some kids will bite, most won't, but it'll be interesting for sure.

You couldn't be more wrong. Deion's presence got NIL dollars to JSU players. I don't think Deion takes this job without Colorado boosters committing to a sizable NIL fund. I don't know why some of you all think Deion would settle for less.

Those facilities were completed in 2015 I believe.

Hobo with a $10K coat on? Hobo with a woman looking like that?! Man, you sound so bitter and hateful. I'm going to pray for you.

I understand but I still don't think it'll hurt the typical big dogs and the transfer portal keeps anyone from stockpiling too much talent.

Colorado has been a total zero for two decades and that would have never been the case if they had decent program support. It's not like they've never had any 5 stars or decent talent come through the program.

Either way, we'll know pretty quickly what's up. Already bagged a big 2025 WR commit who was previously committed to A&M.

May have the #1 WR in this upcoming class Brandon Iniss not signing early because of this move to Colorado. LINK /

In case you hadn't noticed there is no big dog in the Pac 12 at least not by SEC standards. Even USC aside from the QB, some WRs and a TE look small as hell. They had the skinniest LB I've ever seen at any level of college football. I'm serious. I say all that to say if Deion gets Colorado to be bowl eligible and up to 7-9 wins in 2-3 seasons his tenure there will be deemed a success and he will be in play for top tier jobs.

I had no idea Deion's mobility was so bad. He looked like he was struggling just to make it through that walkthrough.

But even with the lack of committment Colorado has devoted to football, it's decades ahead of JSU.

My assumption is he will spend 2-3 years at Colorado, land a bunch of big name recruits, get an 8 to 10 win season, then jump to something bigger.

Any word if his son and the other 5 star are following him there???

I'd imagine his family is following him. Odds of being shot in Boulder are substantially less than in Jackson.

2025 5* WR Winston Watkins Jr commits to Colorado
He’s going to get players there. What he does with them, we’ll see.

These guys have no idea what they’re talking about. Just babble. Typical of what we hear and see on a weekly basis about LSU. They think Deion is just an arrogant and egotistical guy moonlighting as a coach.

y'all see the introduction to the players? he walks in with his own theme song.... Tupac's "All Eyes On Me".

LINK

eta: i'm paraphrasing now...

"no more of the mess the fans, the student body, your parents have put up with for 2 decades now. I'M COMING. and when i get here, it's going to be changed. so i want you to go ahead and get ready... to jump in the portal and do whatever you're going to do. because the moment you jump in we don't want you here... (it was mumbly so i'm not sure that's exactly what he said)... because we're bringing kids that are:

SMART
TOUGH
FAST
DISCIPLINED
WITH CHARACTER

Those are the ones we're going to get."

Deion is still extremely inexperienced as a college HC. Most guys who end up as head coaches have been in the game for at least a decade, usually more, working their way up. This helps them learn the details of what can go wrong in terms of running a program and what works.

It is absolutely fair to question Deion's command of a large P5 program. That doesn't make anyone a "hater". Deion is going to have every opportunity to prove people wrong.

Shhh. Don't speak the truth in here. I said in the other thread, we will see if he can succeed at a larger school.

after watching the player introduction, i would compare his "approach" the same as Trump's to the presidency. he says alot of stuff that makes sense that alot of mediocre coaches wouldn't talk about out loud. he seems to have the fire to want to be successful, if he can get the players and the assistants to make it happen, he could be a great coach.
