USC was very quiet with the Riley hire…

Why is it so hard to believe Woodward is doing the same? Like a few have said here, I do believe it’s likely that Riley’s agent or those in the OU department of athletics were leaking info about LSU.
I’m not saying this is the case, but it is possible (and makes me feel better). I have faith in Woodward, even if he did get played. At least we know he’s not settling like Alleva would’ve done.

AND if OU had won last night USC would not be announcing the hire. I wish some folks on this board would understand that and realize LSU is in the same situation.

I thought USC could have gotten fickle instead, who I think is just as good if not better than Riley. Which makes you think Fickle was either not leaving or already said yes to another team.

Exactly, fans on this board are praising USC for being quiet but roasting LSU for being quiet. All because they ASSUME Riley was a target because a rumor on this exact board. Not one single credible source said Riley and LSU were talking and even the LSU staff are saying they don't know. It just doesn't make sense to Praise USC and Bash LSU.
And on a side note, if it's true USC is paying LR 15 Mil per year, they can have him for that. Damn!

Why don’t you folks understand that this place is the epicenter for all the “smoke”? OU’s AD didn’t provide “smoke” for Ryliegh to leave them.
It’s this place, with all of our BS insiders and our insane hunger for inside info. I can only imagine how much of what TBL, Vol, Pharmacist guy and everyone else just got info that actually originated from here and started vicious news cycles.
Even national sports news cites this place on a lot of these bullshite “reports”

This may sound bad. And I know it will hurt recruiting. But the slightest part of me wants to see Riley succeed at USC.

All along we were told that Woodward doesn't leak, and yet it seems nearly everyone (myself included) bought into leaks.
I still firmly believe Woodward will get the job done and deliver a high-quality coach to LSU, and I see certainly see no reason to panic and/or meltdown.

Actually, this board got played and we all, including me, fell for it.
Woodward was probably watching the game and thinking, man the melt on Tigerdroppings is gonna be fun when they find out Riley wasn't my man
