I was told that heavy evaluations will be done on the Florida game, Ole Miss game, and Arkansas game. Powers that be feel that we have a distinct talent advantage in those games. All of this im sure you could figure out for yourself. Just wanted to share what I was told.

I think we still have a good chance at getting Jimbo, if pursued.

If we promote Coach O, i'm going to punch a kitten. There are dozens of coaches with multiple years of college football head coaching experience that have over 50% winning percentages. I can't imagine why in the world we would settle on CEO.

This suggests we wouldn't need to pursue because we have a shot at Herman. DO WE HAVE A LEGIT SHOT AT HERMAN?

Because, if he wins not, there are not many that have won 87.5% of their last 16.

We wouldn't "settle" on CEO.

Is he the sexiest name out there. Not at all. I'll tell you what he is tho...
•He is a larger than life personality
•He bleeds purple and gold
•He understands this state and its culture
•He 100% lets his coaches coach. (Ex: Big Time OC)
•He is still one of the best recruiters in the game
•He adapts very well
•He gets the most out of his guys
•He's done what numerous other coaches can't do, he's learned from his mistakes.

I think too many LSU fans are underselling CEO because they want the flavor of the month. Tom Herman is a great coach, don't get me wrong. But fit wise, CEO is pretty strong as far as LSU head coaches.

If Texas fires Strong then we are out of it with Herman.

Should not be prerequisites for being LSUs coach. that's all window dressing

Give me someone that knows how to gameplan against the best. Herman check, Jimbo check.

After reading that post, I realize now that CEO is the exact opposite of Miles.

i don't necessarily want Tom Herman. I think there is tons of risk with him. I think the risks with CEO are much, much, much greater. But, there are actual proven head coaches who've won just as much as Saban and Miles before we hired them.

Why would you settle on a failure of a head coach when there are guaranteed, proven winners who would take this job?

Good. I hope orgeron understands this and doesn't get salty and leave if we do get those 2.

Miles was a larger than life personality

Miles bleed purple and gold

Miles understood this state and its culture (as much as an outsider could)

Exact opposite huh?

So the Bama game is a pass regardless of the result?

shite if he goes 6-2 and we strike out on Herman and Jimbo he is who I want. There is a huge drop off to me in available coaches after those two.

Jimbo got dismantled by Louisville and beat by a vastly inferior North Carolina team. Florida state could lose 4 games this year.

I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but it's looking more and more as though he owes much of his success to Winston.

Miles didn't bleed purple and gold. Michigan man that bled LSU for millions of dollars while refusing to change/fix his problems.

Eating St. Aug and speaking in incoherent riddles doesn't = Larger than life...not sure how you define LTL.

Going to crawfish boils at TAF functions doesn't mean you understand the culture of LA. He was a good man, and that transcends state lines, but no cat from OHIO will know the essence of this state like a dude from "down da bayou."

Only way in which Miles truly resembles O is in recruiting.
