Nick Saban... He is from that area, was the D-coordinator there in the 90s. Browns have a lot of talent but they need a coach who can manage. Saban has done it all at bama and this is a prime spot to make a playoff run.

As an LSU fan, I wishing for this but it does make sense if the Browns want to get a more stable mindset there.

It's a terrible hire. Saban was terrible with Miami and wanted no part of the NFL after he got there. He tapped out and said back to college.

Pete Carroll sucked at the Giants, went to college then went to the hawks... and your point is?

Saban already learned NFL players aren't scared of a geriatric midget.

Wrong, New England has a midget who uses the same style of coaching... but I guess you think there is a height requirement to be good as a coach?

Look, I found the TD midget!

ETA: The geriatric midget in NE is actually half a foot taller than the other geriatric midget.

The guy you used as an example of a midget is actually taller than Saban. That's tiny.

A team that needs discipline ? Yeah he ain’t the one to do it. Teams already on the edge. He will push it off.

He's from a little town in West Virginia, nowhere near Cleveland.

I think that ship has sailed for Nick Saban. Crazier things have happened though. I never thought Pete Carroll would go back to the NFL after a dominating run in college football. Barry Switzer to Dallas was a weird one too that sort of worked out.

Saban is 68. It is more likely he retires in a few years. No NFL team is going to hire an almost 70
Year old HC. Saban would need an established QB in place to make it worth the hire. Only team that would be close is Cowboys but no way is Jerry Jones willing to cede control to Saban for that to happen

Saban bringing a young prodigy like a Joe Brady in this move is the only way it makes sense. Saban's past his coaching prime.

Doesn’t Saban make more money than anyone coaching in the NFL?

@RapSheet
This time around, the #Browns have interest in and are expected to ask to interview former #Packers coach Mike McCarthy, source said. They did not make it happen last time.
