As far as money goes, unfortunately our OC search will be affected by paying Canada 3.2 million for one years work, and Aranda 2.5 million this year. Can't ignore it's impact on the bean counters.

I’ve been saying since I was told Friday that certain names were fed to certain people to see where leaks were coming from.

If they don't give a shite about the fan base (and I wouldn't say this is not true to an extent, given the handling of the program recently. Then throw in the rising prices, paid parking, and the overall killing of the game day experience. Oh, and I almost forgot the complete crap concessions in the stadium).

Then why not just end it all and hire Ensminger? Seems they are trying to please the fan base by "looking" for a guy. Not giving a frick about the fan base, and then trying to appease them with the OC hire seems odd.

If ensminger is promoted, it means the administration is giving Orgeron a short rope to hang himself. That should make O haters very happy.

They have the money, this just seems like they're putting their foot down based on the Orgeron-Canada relationship

The more bad faith the Univ and AD express to the fan base, the less interested the fans become.

And they wonder why we're gone before halftime?

The apathy is real and it is going to escalate. We don't have to do this.

If true, they’re signing off on their own firings. No way fans should accept this. I’m ready to go full Tennessee on their arse

I may need to reevaluate my place in life when I can actually side with your ignorant arse on something.

Its sad that the administration is dragging the loyal, faithful, members of the fan base down to the levels of the ones who just want to see LSU and Orgeron fail.

If they don't give a frick about the fanbase, then why bother with the perception of conducting a thorough search?

Apply the same concept.

Your reply makes no sense and the poster brings up a good point. You said they don't care about the fan base at all. So then why would they conduct a fake search? Your ideas are contradicting. Why make a cover up story if you don't care what the fans think?

Do you honestly still believe you are getting information close to the program? Close to the decision makers?

You aren't.

What's really bizzarre is that O & E had enough momentum last year E could have been named OC and could have gotten away with it.

Nah. Orgeron had to make the promise to bring in a big name OC to let him run the offense as his ticket to getting the job. He couldn't have brought in Ensminger this past season and got away with it. He had to make promises, that apparently he had no intent to keep, in order to get a job he didn't deserve.

Look. I like to beat up the admin as much as the next guy.

But, if they only are worried about money, why do we still have Aranda?

Well, a bean counter worth a shite would calculate the COST of hiring someone unprepared also.

I think GTN has a dislike for Orgeron. He has made that pretty apparent. There is no doubt in my mind that he has someone who knows something up higher than the rest of us (or at least someone who THINKS they know something).

You are probably seeing a mix of his emotional, personal, feelings for Orgeron come out combined with what he's being told.

Can't fault the dude at all for it either.

It is reminiscent of the Johnny Jones hire. There was about 10 days of rampant speculation. Information discussing a few "big name" candidates, only to eventually hire the guy everyone except Dale Brown wanted. Jones wasn't a popular pick and Alleva knew it. However, he couldn't hire Jones without at least feigning a "search"

It seems more and more like this is a dog and pony show before hiring the guy no one else wants. Yet, unlike basketball, it's going to be hard to sell that "no one" else wanted the job but Ensminger.

Two possibilities here:

1. The OP is FOS, and just trying to stay relevant here

2. The OP’s source is being lied to and is now about to get fired because of GTN

This where we differ: I think the Herman/Jimbo stuff was a smokescreen and O was the guy the entire time. O really thought Kiffin was coming hence the whole, "best OC in the country" foot in mouth statement. It looks great if he gets Kiffin and it's a shot across Saban's bow. Well, FAU happens and O is stuck and can't promote Ensminger- the back up plan from the get go- because the entire LSU universe is eating up the "reformed O who's gonna get the best coordinators and let em coach" narrative. Enter Canada, exit Canada and back to Ensminger.
