They are hearing us. They are trying not to, though

I am not claiming "special sauces", but in decades of following LSU football, this is very different.
It is unprecedented how much anguish and disdain that MOST (that, however, is a certainty) Tiger fans have for this additional layer of shite atop an over-baked fiasco of a cake on the offensive side of the ball.
I've heard from the biggest of typical homers, and almost without exception, they are furious, and if the admin pull the trigger on this betrayal of their statements on getting a top-notch OC, lifetime Tigers are REALLY prepared to walk.
That is how much angst exists.
Its at the Hillary losing/meltdown level.
This is very, very different than past situations of fan displeasure.
I actually think they are hearing, and even listening.
Say your novenas or whatever you do.

Yeah but how many of them actually have any power/say to steer LSU away from what seems like a decision that has already been made?
Or will we have to wait to hit rock bottom (pretty close to where we are now) before someone or some people step in to right the ship?

If they announce Ensminger, that makes O a liar. Said he’d get the best OC

Tune in next week to find out in the next episode of As the BBQ Turns!

O is the head coach and he wants Ensminger. He wants a lackey he can tell what to do. If the admin tries to tell him who he can or can’t hire then O will act like the immature hot head that he has always been. A tiger doesn’t change his stripes, so to speak. And he’s already quit on LSU before.

I didn't think I would ever feel the way I do currently about LSU football. Usually I can pull some kind of positive away that keeps me engaged. At this point I don't even want to buy an LSU bumper sticker because I know where the money will end up. If they don't give a shite about us, then why should we give a shite about them

Your choice, don’t let the door hit you in your arse on the way out.

I am worried they are listening. Most posters here are behaving like hysterical teenage girls.

I feel pretty certain that this is what F(uc)King wants.
I seriously believe (based on his own previous comments) that he's of the stripe that feels that athletics have no place in an academic environment...an academic snob who feels that athletics just pulls funding away from the academic side. And if he thought he could just do away with LSU football without consequence, he would.

So what cakewalk state job do you have in the athletic office that you’re worried about losing?

Does that include thumb suckin’?
I can’t stand king and joe either, but I highly doubt that they are worried too much about a couple hundred “men” posters worried that LSU is not giving a shite about them, and are going to stop buying a bumper sticker. Sheeeeit..

The comment about hiring the best OC really bothers me. People on this board are asking the wrong question. People on this board say the best OC is Briles others think Freezes is the best. But have you ever stop to ask who the CEO thinks is the best? If CEO thinks ensminger is the best I say let it happen. The 99 percent can see an eminent train wreck about to happen. It’s like a sticky band aid, is it better to rip it off right away or slow pull it off, its going to hurt. This hiring of Ensminger is ripping the Bandaid off fast not slow. For the individual that want O to go should want Ensminger to be OC, and the one percent that want O to stay should want Ensminger to be OC because that’s the guy O wants. Win win for both groups!

He might think that... as many academics do.
... But...
1) LSU football is profitable and brings money to the university.
2) Athletics, in general, are part of the marketing presence that brings attention to the university. That LSU's marketing arm (football) generates money instead of costing money makes it all the more valuable.
As a for instance, some students and parents at one of my daughters' schools up here in NY had some sort of Habitats for Humanities type trip to some part of Alabama this past fall. One of the dads I was speaking to afterwards... an ivy league neurosurgeon, was in awe of the Go Tide! culture down there with everyone shouting it out to anyone wearing a Bama ballcap, etc., etc. He was musing that if he had to do it all over again, he'd probably go someplace like that. Not sure if he watched the game last night, but if he did, his experience will invariably come back to him and his teenage kids are going to be a little more likely to think about Bama now as a viable destination. Doesn't mean they'll choose Bama, but it increases the chances a little. That's influence, which is how marketing works. And that's also part of the value of having a winning culture where everybody is on the same page.
F King might not like it, but he'd be an idiot to not understand it and do his best to keep LSU a winner.

Ensminger is the choice right now for Orgeron because he knows he will have his way with him, and the powers that be like the Ensminger choice because he's the cheapest option for them at this point since because of all their stupid decisions in the past year, we are now paying $12,000,000 or so for coaches that don't even work anymore...SUCH A WASTE OF LA TAXPAYER DOLLARS!*#(*@#$&

I encourage everyone to contact the Board of Supervisors and athletic department to voice their displeasure.

Never said they were worried about it, in fact I said quite the opposite. That's kind of the whole point. I buy LSU gear to support the school and the program. I now feel no desire to do that because the school and program don't care about being successful.
You could say I'm acting like a bitch, but I see it as a capitalistic response. The real bitch move imo was made by O, Alleva, and the BOS

Well, then LSU needs to find some coonass to sit down and explain to Ogeron that there is nowhere for him to go if he quits or get's fired from LSU. There are no other HC jobs waiting for him. This is it! And if he wasn't from Louisiana and didn't have complete buffoon as a "boss" this opportunity wouldn't even exist.
Ogeron doesn't (or at least shouldn't) have the leverage to be overly demanding, stubborn, selfish, immature, etc. LSU football will go on with or without Ogeron. But Ogeron's days as a P5 head coach will NOT continue without LSU. If he wants to allow his stubbornness/stupidity to forever seal his fate as a major college HC, then so be it.
