Yesterday I would have agreed with you. To some degree it is still true but, with each passing decision, Orgeron appears to make impetuous, emotional choices. He doesn’t appear to have a clear vision or plan. These reported hires while underwhelming and disappointing are just symptoms of a much bigger issue. His judgement is poor, his attention to detail is lacking and he is not disciplined.

I think the promotion for Ensminger is a bad decision if for no other reason, the fact that he doesn't even want the job. Steve's a dedicated LSU man and I'm sure he will put his all into the job but a man doing something his heart isn't into isn't giving the all that we need right now. There are more reasons its not a good hire and recruiting tops the list. We already have the ineptness of our offense the last decade to try to gloss over to recruits and now 2 guys that will be short lived on the staff. Not good.
I do find it funny that so many of you feel that O is just gonna demand things from Steve with the offense. Steve will tell him to frick off. What recourse does Ed have? What's he gonna fire Steve midseason? He'd be hanging himself as incompetent. I think this promotion is more about trust than wanting a yes man. O is very loyal to those he feels he owes gratitude towards and he trusts those guys. He trusts them to tell him when he's wrong and have his, and the teams, beat interest at heart when doing so. Its the reason for the Jenkins hire and now the Sullivan hire/Ensminger promotion. Not about a yes man. I really believe that. I believe that Os thought process is to go with what he knows and is putting guys around him that he trusts and that share a like vision. Maybe it's outdated but hes chosen to succeed or fail with this plan and these people. I can respect that even if I think its wrong and bad for the program. The people in charge of hiring him have to eat it if it fails.
I wear my LSU hat every day and have had many over the years and as long as I live I will continue to wear and buy those hats. Its ridiculous to do anything else. Why? Because we made a couple of bad coaching hires? Get the frick out of here! A true, born and bred, eat, shite, sleep, moods on Saturday nights in the fall are dictated by whether you win or lose(or how you win) LSU fan doesnt ever stop supporting LSU, in any way. I was born a Tiger football fan and will die one and they'll have my full support. I don't have to agree with what's going on(and currently don't) to support my Tigers. I've always thought of the tigers as a figurative wife or girlfriend. They can make you feel the happiest of happys, the saddest of sads and the maddest of mads but at the end of the day you stick by them. Its called home.
