Exactly what you saw today. His teams aren’t physical enough. Do you think he compete in the SEC on a week to week basis? The same people who think Oklahoma would finish middle of the pack in the SEC are clamoring for Riley to be the coach.

He isn't using SEC players.

Oklahoma hasn’t ever really played a physical style of football. He would adapt here, and he would have to bring in coordinators. That being said, the SEC isn’t exactly smash mouth aggressive defense like it used to be either.

Let it go man. Aranda will get consideration. There is no reason why it shouldn't be Riley and Aranda as 1 and 2. No need to put Riley down in order to lift up your guy.

Maybe not under Riley but this simply isn’t true.

Riley's got NFL written all over him.

That childish outburst in Waco today, after OU got its arse beat, proves Riley doesn't have the fortitude to handle the pressure of the SEC.

Would you say he doesn’t have the chest to lead this program?

Dave Aranda wants to go the NFL very bad.

But it's okay when the greatest coach ever loses his shite on the sidelines?

You didn’t see Bud Wilinkson’s teams or more recently Barry Switzer’s Sooners from mid 70s to late 80s. Bosworth and others were as physical a team you’d find in that era.

That's nonsense. Stoops had some monsters on defense in the front half of his career.

The Big XII changed, and Texas HS football changed. The state is not producing as many studs on defense as they used to, and the SEC is raiding the good ones.

Aranda owns Riley. Has since 2019. If Riley can't handle Aranda, and lose his shite over procedural tie-breaking scenarios, how is he going to handle a sausage grinder SEC schedule.

He's going to have to handle that sausage whether he stays or leaves Oklahoma.
