I mean the offense is already good, they need a defense there. Though i do like the idea of hiring offensive coaches as your head

Year 0: Offensive Assistant - New Orleans Saints
Year 1: PGC/WR Coach - LSU
Year 2: Offensive Coordinator - Carolina Panthers
Year 3: NFL Head Coach

That career trajectory is insane.

The Houston situation is proof positive that coaches have no business with GM roles. Bill O'Brien made stupid trades, including Hopkins over a personal rift, and left the cupboard dry with no way to fill it outside of overspending in free agency.

LSU's decade plus of offensive suck was crucial to Brady's ascension. How much glowing coverage did he receive for turning around LSU's longtime offensive identity that elevated his profile? If LSU had a brand of high scoring offense like Oklahoma, I imagine he comes in and just blends in with the noise.

He was already awesome - does he even need Joe Brady? Watson had the 2nd highest PFF grade this year with turmoil and Bill O Brien.

I feel like you can pair an established or defensive HC with Watson and he'd still be elite.

Pretty amazing situation. Goes from riding the coattails of Ensminger as a Jr level assistant coach in College to an NFL Head Coach candidate within 2 years. Wow.

The only person that comes to mind that even comes close to that kind of trajectory is Saints DC, Dennis Allen

Yes, this is clearly what the high-level people in football making decisions think is the case, and you are not biased. Hoping that was sarcasm that I just missed.

Dennis Allen spent 12 years in the NFL before he even got a stand alone position coaching position, no contest there

60 touchdown passes doesn't blend in anywhere.
