Behind the rah-rah personality, Fleck seems to be a decent HC. Wouldn’t be my first choice to lead a Big6 SEC program, but it does appear that UT will have made a far better hire than expected if it happens.

The question is, how much will it cost them? Is it really worth, say, 5 years @ $7 million per guaranteed to “Row the Boat”? (not any actual numbers, just wild speculation on my part).

This is a boom/bust hire. He’s a rah rah guy, but that may be what they need.

This could fail spectacularly. Has a Butch feel.

I heard it on the radio from a guy who said Tennessee reporters are saying it and links to a tweet saying "Fleck steam." This seems like a 1996 coaching rumor.

Most of those hillbillies have no clue what shite shape their program is in. Players bailing out, sanctions coming and an unrealistic fan base that thinks Tenn deserves national championships. Tenn has been crap for 15 years. Dumpster fire and it's on,y getting worse when you can barely field a team of 3 stars. Fleck goes 6-5 and it's a miracle there.
