Just because he wasn’t elite as an OC in the NFL doesn’t discredit what he did at LSU
It's so much easier to manipulate college defenses.
He does need someone to help him with the running game and over all play calling.
Kelly would be the perfect person to help him hone his skills.

You guys are ridiculous. JOE BURROW was the reason for the offense. GTFO if you don’t agree with that.

Napier already has his hands in Brady‘s pants… Brady to Florida… Book it…
Posted on 12/5/21 at 1:14 pm to tigerpawl
Napier is going to give up play calling duties and hire an OC to run an offense foreign to him?

What changed from 2018 to 2019?

Burrow second year of playing football basically. You could say 2018 was like his freshman season

Ensminger had his hand in the offense more than you know.
If Brady was such a mastermind why is he fired so quickly…
Why didn't any NFL teams come calling for Ensminge? And how long do you think he would've lasted in the NFL?

Yeah I tend to think people give Joe Brady and Ed O way more credit for 2019 than they should, but what you just said is fricking stupid
Funny how Brady was an absolute god on this site until now.
That said, I’m not sure he should be our OC

I think it's more realistic to say that a bunch of first time starters got experience, Burrow actually got to know the team, and the offensive line situation stabilized versus a first time offensive coach flipped college football on its head.
Kirby and several other defensive coaches said LSU wasn't doing anything "special" scheme wise, they just had elite talent.

He was made the highest paid OC in the NFL after a grand total of one year of coordinator experience, in which he did not even call all of the plays
Blame Rhule and the owner for that stupidity

Cause he’s all LSU and didn’t want to coach anywhere else. Made that known plenty of times.

They had no QB and Rhule essentially had to make changes. If you don’t have a solid QB, no such thing as a good OC.

That didn't address the question. The NFL nor anyone else wanted him as OC. He was avg at best.

Ensminger was so good why wasn’t the offense elite before Brady got here? Ensminger offense with Burrow, Chase, Clyde, Marshall, Jefferson got shutout by Bama in 2018. If Ensminger was the mastermind why wasn’t everyone trying to poach him away from LSU?
I'm not saying he was the mastermind, cause he wasn't, but those guys were all a year older and more matured.
Chase was a true freshman. People didn't even know if clyde was going to start. Burrow was not burrow yet. Jefferson had shown a few flashes but nothing like 2019.
All the players got better. Just look at the jump chase made. He was kind of lost as a true freshman.
Burrow needed that 2018 year in order for 2019 to happen.

This is way too advanced for most people.
They see Brady there in 2019 and not in 2018 and assume that's the only difference.

If you're Kelly you absolutely have to make the call to Brady for OC and explore it

E should have known.

Burrow was not burrow yet.
Because of E putting him under center.

Because of E’s shitty offense.
You can’t use E’s failures as excuses for him.

Burrow barely played under center at all in 2018.
This is revisionist history.
