He was losing a lot of games Southern should never lose, to Prairie View, etc. A lot of inconsistency. Pulling the plug on Dooley early is probably the right move.

I thought they should have given him atleast 1 more season. He won the swac west and lost to. Very good Deion led jsu team in the championship game in his 1st year. And he’s 5-5 this year.

The guy after Richardson was Dawson Odums and he was pretty good. He was a lot better than the guy they just fired. But,SU folks like to have their own grads in charge. Odums is from North Carolina.

Stump Mitchell replaced Richardson and was terrible. Any time I heard him talk I wondered if he had brain damage, but he's been an NFL assistant since SU canned him; currently the RB coach for the Browns.

It was year 2 and he won his division last year (7-5 record which included a loss to LSU and Deion’s Jackson state). His overall record at Southern was 12-10. I feel like there is probably something else going on.

The offense is terrible and their coach is suppose to be a offensive mind. He is also the oc and they offensive got worse has the season went on

Playing family over better player at QB was the beginning of his down fall, not willing to take advice from staff probably was the end
