On espn sight its says Crowton states"It is hard leaving right now LSU will be competing for a national championship next year." I can see if he was taking a head coaching position but going to Maryland and having half the talent that he has at LSU sounds like he wasn't coming back or he was pushed into taking the Maryland off. coor. job. What you guys got? How much money is he making at Maryland ?

Agreed. At least he landed on his feet, and at a much less stressful job with a much less demanding fan base.

He'll be fine. More importantly, we'll be better.

I'm just hoping that it was really Crowton calling all of those awful plays and not Miles.

He was told to find another job. Les is not going to publicly disagree with him. It's part of him bringing in quality assistants, they look like they left on their own terms. Wasn't the case with Mallory or Peveto, isn't the case with Crowton.

This is Miles at his best and why so many people like him. He accomplished what he wanted (getting rid of GC) but allowed GC to avoid the indignity of getting fired. He is a class act.

Miles is nothing but true character.

God-willing one day, I would love for my boys to play for him.

Miles wasn't at Crowton's previous jobs where his offenses became lackluster. What's his excuses there?

it's called being "counseled out". Happens in professional services firms all the time.

Exactly. There was a reason why Crowton has been interviewing for alot of HC and OC positions at other schools.

Didn't we all?

Anthing can happen, but GC was put on notice at the end of the 09 season by both the coach and AD that we had to have a much better O and that didn't happen.

I really saw this playing out no other way and it was only a matter of time.
