LINK

Saints RB coach and VERY well versed in the Payton offense. Someone that Joe Brady said was very involved with game plans and teaching him in NOLA. Excellent recruiter in his college days and worked for Woodward at Washington

How much interest? More than let's say Lombardi? Outside looking in, QB coach >> Rb coach

Has he ever called plays before? Not saying it as an indictment, just genuinely curious. I’m interested by Thomas and have heard a lot of good things about him. Thomas as OC and possibly Callaway as PGC would seem to be a sound combination.

He’s only ever coached running backs. What would Faulk do?

College coaching experience:
Thomas started his coaching career in 2000 as a graduate assistant coach at Purdue University. He remained with Purdue through 2001, before assuming the running backs coach position with Louisville from 2002 to 2003. He was then the co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach for his alma mater the University of Idaho[4] between 2004 to 2005, before returning to Purdue as the running backs coach from 2006 to 2008. Thomas then worked as the running backs coach for the Washington Huskies[1] between 2009 and 2012, where he coached a 1000-yard rusher in each season.[5] He was also named associate head coach for offensive responsibilities during the 2012 season.[4]

In 2013 Thomas became the running backs coach for the University of Arkansas, a position he held through the 2014 season.[5] Upon his hiring, Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema stated that, “He excelled at the position as a player and has demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect with his student-athletes and pass his knowledge on to them. He also brings a strong background of recruiting in Texas and Dallas specifically, which is a valuable area for us to have a presence.”[3] During his final year with the Razorbacks, Arkansas defeated the Texas Longhorns in the 2014 Texas Bowl.

Not all the time. And I'm sure he'd have no problem letting Faulk handle RB duties so he could focus on the overall offense.

He’s been hit and miss on the coaching aspect so far. Hellacious as a recruiter though. This would give you the best of both worlds

Idaho in 2005 when Thomas was Co-OC seems to have had an ok offense.

They did have a shut out loss to Hawaii and only scored 6 against Washington. But they put up a bunch of points in most of their other games.

Idk what the dynamic was though. Was he Co-OC in name only? Was he calling plays? Was it his system? No idea

What was it in reference to? I assume the subject is not why it got whacked?
