I was told if Derek Mason gets fired, and LSU had an open DC spot... he would get a call. He’s well-respected and O trust him. So yes to answer your question. He wouldn’t leave if still employed, only in the event he was let go.

0 percent chance if UNLV gives Aranda more than he makes here, and we want Bush as DC, they win out.

UNLV won't pay a DC $1.5 to $2.5 Million per year. LSU will and has.

What makes him a clear cut better option than Corey?

I’m good with Mason, not really bothered by the Vandy results

Raymond has never been interviewed for a real DC job. he's been dangled "co" titles to lure him to schools to recruit, but he doesn't appear to have the best reputation. it seems like a major jump to imagine he'd be #1 on our list

According to the rant anyone, D only started playing better because O took over.

I obviously don’t know him personally, I’m just loathe to bring one of these retreads

So instead of a retread who has done it you just say let's try a guy who shouldn't be doing it.
I like shoop or mason
Someone mentioned jay Bateman and I love that

I don’t know if he should or shouldn’t be doing it. That he hasn’t done it before doesn’t mean he can’t.

Just like I hate the idea that we can only hire head coaches that have already been a head coach. Even Vince Lombardi was as assistant at one point.

i mean coaching reputation. i think he's a pretty stand up guy personally. i just can't imagine he'd be up for any comparable DC jobs

well i said Busch over Raymond b/c after Aranda was here for a year, he thought Raymond's coaching was so good he needed a "safeties coach" to help run the D

Shoop is a legit guy. not a retread

Some baw on the rant claiming a sauce says this is O pushing Aranda out. I don’t believe that but this is a strange job for him to leave for. There may be multiple pac12 jobs open next szn

This is the name I was told at the beginning of the year, if the timing worked.

So are you saying that this was going to be Aranda's last year here for some time now?

It’ll be fast, as I think this was only a surprise to us.

o already has someone, and he’ll move on quickly
