Rich Rod would be much better fit than muchamp

Get ready for some 9-7 games. Very boring offense

Y'all got super unlucky with UGA opening up like it did. Otherwise, I think Kirby heads to Columbia.

I think Bamachick is spot on there. Georgia canning Richt threw big wrench in what was looking to be a really good hire.

Boom, may not have succeeded at FL, but that does not mean he won't in SC. He clearly just needs a strong OC.

Muschamp obviously would be the 2nd USCe Florida retread coach.

Florida's best coach ever goes to USCe and becomes the same for the Gamecocks.

A huge failure at Florida then gets hired by USCe. I'm betting on another comparable performance.

Muschamp is Kiffin 2.0. If he's head coach at South Carolina I will say he's unseated Kiffin for #1 for falling forward. No way Muschamp has learned enough to warrant being a head coach again if he's hired. At least Kiffin has went under Saban's tutelage after USC. And, I don't even think Kiffin did a bad job at USC and I think people who know football and the NCAA punishments Kiffin was dealing with at USC would agree.

This all the way. He's just not HC material.

I am a spurrier fan and because of that I'm a SC fan. My take is if Muschamp couldn't win at Florida then we won't win at SC.

I think Carolina fans are overreacting about Muschamp. He's a good recruiter, good defensive mind, I think he can learn from the mistakes he made at UF. Granted he turned their offense to shite but if he can hire a good OC and let him do his thing I think it could turn out to be a decent hire. Apparently he's already reached out to Marcus Lattimore to be on his potential staff and if that happened he'd win over probably 90% of the fanbase

there are reports that SC has interviewed Willie Taggert. So I am not sure Boom to SC is a done deal. What do I know

I have said it before, USCe hiring Muschamp would be a big mistake. If Muschamp takes a head coaching spot, he needs to land at a place that will let him work shite out for a few years and not a big SEC school like UF or USCe. If he took a job at a place like Tulane with low standards that let him turn their defense around while figuring out the best set up for his offense he would grow much quicker than large programs.

When all is said and done, I think Muschamp stays at Auburn another year or two.

On the bright side, if you do hire Muschamp, the coach that takes over in 4 years will have plenty of talent to work with

How can someone fail at their job so much, but still find a job that pays them 4 MM per year

CoachingSearch reporting that Willie Taggart has signed a 5 year extension with USF.

Somebody better get the Dog back on the phone and see if he'll reconsider.
