Targeting the Louisville baseball coach to replace Bianco

LOL. Bless their little hearts

Well, the supposed reason we haven’t gunned for him in the past is that he has great respect for Bianco for giving him his shot and that if Bianco were fired he would not come here. So in this scenario it’s at least plausible. But yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it

They are potentially looking at 2-5 to start the season, it doesn't make sense to fire Luke and bring in a new coach with that schedule.

I agree with you, look what the new Arkansas coach gets in his first 7 games.

Looks like Ar Kansas is looking at a 2-6 record to start the season.

Does Bianco want to become an AD? I feel like he's got some good years left.

Skip couldn't physically coach anymore. Ray Tanner and John Cohen have been extremely meh as ADs and both I think had a lot more in the tank as coaches.

Yep.

1. Their schedule is rough and a new HC isn't going to be able to do much more than Luke and Co. would be able to do.

2. They have two former HC's as coordinators right now (both looking for a little redemption). Promoting one to HC over the other is almost assuredly going to sting some egos and they would likely lose the coach who isn't promoted. Right now the coordinators are on equal footing with more of a figurehead/recruiter HC (much like LSU)

3. MSU seems to (potentially) be in flux. Moorehead doesn't look to be a great fit and they may be looking for their 3rd HC in 3 years. As crazy as it may sound, by keeping Luke OM may find themselves being the more stable of the two Mississippi programs...thus leading to more in-state recruiting success

Ultimately Luke may need to be replaced. I just wouldn't do it this year.

I saw a lot of this talk going in to the LSU game but when it came down to it there were only 3 freshmen starters (QB, RB, WR). That putrid defense only started one under-classmen.

putrid defense
Didn't LSU give up 600 yards in that game?

Also, both INTs that Burrow threw were to Freshman DBs.

So it's NOT a putrid defense because their offense gained 600 yards? Did their defense give up 700 yards and 58 points?

Considering Ole Miss took the interim tag off their current AD this week, these rumors don’t carry much weight.

They should fire Luke. Then LSU should hire him 10 years from noe.
