He has bona fide defensive history at the college and NFL level.

He is, allegedly, a top shelf recruiter.

Has no real HC resume to use as a sales point. He's undefeated this year on the back of a ton of transfers. He's sucked every other year as HC.

I'll be Devil's Advocate (Tucker would be way down my list, personally):

1. Coached at LSU

2. Saban tree

3. Has done well as a DC in the NFL and UGA

4. Ace recruiter

Now, if we set aside what he did at Chicago, he has had a solid coaching career. Xs and Os AND a good recruiter otherwise.

Is this ace recruiter stuff cause he recruited well at Georgia? Who has he recruited there…. He’s yet to recruit as a head coach.

At Colorado one year. First year at Mich St went 2-5 and kicked off 26 kids and went to the transfer portal for 14 players. So he’s taken a bunch of experienced players on this years team. He hasn’t recruited and built this Mich st program. Not a line for success if half your starters are transfers….
Help me with this ace recruiter stuff….

So we're basing the "Ace Recruiter" off his time at UGA?

Dig deeper on that list. He recruited most of the savages on Georgias defense. Jordan Davis, Lewis Cine, Devonte Wyatt, etc.

There are many questions about Tucker, but recruiting ability ain’t one of them.

Wait until after the next 5 game stretch. Impossible to do rn.

Everyone is losing their minds. The administration has their eye on the guy just like the rest of the list. Let shite play out.

Nothing to sell. Crap DC, and mediocre College HC with only 3 seasons under his belt.

This should be viewed as a positive. When a coach takes over a train-wreck, it's not just about wins and losses in the short term. He's apparently changing the culture there.

He's not my choice, but those shitting on him are being disingenuous.

1. Irrelevant
2. 1 year as DB coach
3. I believe he has also been fired as DC in the NFL? Also, isn't Georgia's defense really a product of Kirby? I think they have a solid defense regardless who is DC in title.
4. No idea about this.

I like to believe LSU can aim higher.

MSU hasn't played the meat of their schedule yet.

Tucker would be at the bottom of my list for Power 5 coaches that have been mentioned. Just not enough of a track record yet as a HC.

So tell me how Lane Kiffin was sold to the teams he's coached. I can tell you this, a black coach wouldn't even get a damn sniff from schools if he had the same resume as kiffin.
