This guy has a history of landing big fish in multiple sports. He's an LSU alum and has waited his entire life for this moment. He is not bringing Mel Tucker, Napier, Aranda or anyone like that to Baton Rouge with this hire. You guys can down vote all you want, but when the smoke clears I guarantee LSU ends up with an absolute stud with a well-established pedigree in big time football.

I think that’s pretty much the sentiment. He’s going to (and probably has) gone through a list starting at the top. Woodward does not hire “up and coming” coaches.

Yeah. In Woodward we trust. I don’t want to get in a Cycle where we buyout a losing coach every 4 years for 20mil

yea, but i promise you there will be a very loud of this board that will not like the hire

You know, the ones that think God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost will need to be fired after the press conference

To be fair, he did once. The guy is at Texas now. That was his first big hire and he has not repeated that since.

Ya we wouldn’t want someone like Saban was when he came from MSU.

Why didn't Saban go to FSU, or Ohio St, or Bama, or OK, or Fla, or USC about that same time?

LSU has 3 titles now. The landscape has changed.

I’m just saying. He doesn’t. He did hire Sark at Washington. But not since. So expect someone with experience. Good, bad, indifferent.

You're welcome. And judging you by your post, there's no way that your best friend is out with your wife right now because you're impossible to tolerate at home. And there's no way that a person like you has coworkers that roll their eyes when you walk by while you think you guys have a great relationship. You are clearly a class human being that everyone around you inspires to be like. Thank you for taking time out of your hallowed life to post.

He has not waited his entire life for this moment.

He has worked his entire life for this moment

Every thing he has ever done is to help him become the AD of LSU and to take our athletic program to new heights

This needs to continue to be repeated time and again until all these others finally hear it. Great post.
