Honestly, I'd never heard of our new OC, or your's either. Hell, I had no idea who the hell Jim McElwain was when he was hired.

I knew of Nussmeier as he helped recruit my best friends son. D Brown Jr., and they did enough to to get him to decommit from Utah and sign with UW. My buddy had a lot of nice things to say about Nuss.

Good to hear.

It's not like we bama fans will ever get to know a dang thing about him, hear his voice, or even see his face unless it's on the sidelines during a game.

We're used to being left in the dark about our various coaches though.

Edit: Hell it looks like Bama fans know more about our OC then theirs.

He does a good job coaching QB's but I'm concerned about him calling plays for you guys. He has only called plays for a year and pretty much that offense revolved around RB Bernard Pierce.

That was also by necessity, due to him being leaps and bounds the best offensive weapon they had. He called the plays in the 09 Sugar Bowl for UF too. Did a really good job in that game. Yes, he doesn't have much experience, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It will definitely interesting to see though.

yeah it's not the terrible hire I thought at first it would be. The first article I read only mentioned his experience at Florida and Temple. It completely left off his time before Florida.

He worked for a season with the Lions in 08, probably my biggest concern right now

He was also QB coach at Michigan for a good while too.

could you imagine the recruiting impact if he could get Brady to hang out at a camp or two
assuming this is legal?

I see no probelm with Brady come to AU in the offseason to do some training with his offseason coach. It may, just so happen, our offensive players are doing some voluntary work outs as well.

Yea, that is really cool. Brady has been quoted as saying that Loeffler is a big reason he is the QB he is today. I'm sure a lot of that statement is Brady sticking up for his friend, but seeing as he still trains with him in the offseason is pretty damn cool.

Knowing our recruiting staff, I'll bet my life they'll find a way to have Brady on campus (within the rules) while recruits are there.

It's funny how you guys have NO CLUE about the dynamics of the relationship between Brady and our OC but you come on here speaking in absolute certainties as if you were at Michigan at the time.

I was impressed by the Washington offense in the bowl game against Baylor. Was really fun to watch. I think Saban got a good one.

I don't think Saban would have touched Washington's defensive coordinator with a 1000-ft pole though.

Would you rather have our new guy?

Or Mike Bobo?

Yes, he would have. That pole would have been used to bludgeon the DC to death.

I'd rather have almost anyone over Bobo.

If you want to say the "The Builder of Brady" is calling plays for AU now, go ahead..

This is exactly my point. The guy will probably do well and all, but touting this guy as Tom Brady's inspiration as if he were Charlie Weis is getting out of hand. He was a GA. Tout anything you want about him, but labeling him as some QB guru based on being a 23 year old GA while Brady was at Michigan is simply laughable.

Word on campus is that Tom Brady is going to visit Lefty on Auburn campus during the off-season.

On Big Cat Weekend.

I think mercy killings are legal in Washington state.
