I think it is quite comical how many of our rival fans are in this thread and negatively speaking about our new OC. Even when presented with information that shows credentials, and praise from those who know him best and they disregard it.

Just know that they don't know shite about football to make an assessment on what someone can do. Not a truly educated one anyway. They can think because they watch football a lot that they are qualified, but they lack true understanding of what it takes. The same can be said for a big majority who come to message boards, a big majority.

In the end time will tell this story and they may turn out to be correct, but I am guessing they will be wrong, and Auburn will be successful at scoring points. The more I read about Loeffler and seeing so many offering HIGH praise, I am starting to feel excited and confident Chizik made a good hire. It may have not been his first choice, but I am sure it is a solid choice on a young up and coming coach.

Yep. Some of our rival fans are extremely adept at making asses of themselves in regards to AU.

Temple was 7th in rushing yards
39th in scoring
He had no Tre Mason or Emory Blake

Sadl, he didn't even have a Moseley or Trotter. Their QB's were abysmal.

Did he have a Frazier?

Hardly. IIRC, he ran one of his "athletes" as QB for a few games too, so I guess that is kind of a Frazier, at least how we used him. His final QB he had for the bowl game was definitely more Frazieresque however as he was a bigger guy with a good running threat. He played really well. Frazier could absolutely thrive in this offense if he can learn to read defenses, which Loeffler will help with tremendoulsy.

The guy could turn out to be the greatest offensive mind of all time. He also could be a huge flop. Time will tell. My comments are related to the breathless sunshine pumpers like Marshal and Tate. Saying he wasn't "plan B", made Brady what he is today, and a "QB guru" is jumping the shark..and ya'll know it.

Jay G Tate is far from a sunshine pumper. He is the most level headed of all the AU beatwriters. That is why most AU fans dont like him.

Tate is hardly a sunshine pumper. He is one of the few Auburn bloggers that isn't originally an Auburn fan, and has just become one because he became a blogger for them. He is usually our most critical writer.

However, I do get your point.

What part of that article talks about anything but Loeffler being Brady's buddy at Michigan? He was only a few years older than him for crying out loud. Flaunt the hire all you want, but leave being Tom Brady's GA out of this. GA's don't do shite. The NCAA does not allow them to

-Per Chad Balas from Wolverine.com

Spoke with Chad Balas he had some great insight into Loeffler as a recruiter. Also said Tom Brady wrote a handwritten letter to several people saying he was one of a few reasons he is as successful as he is today. Balas wrote a piece on Brady and spoke with Brady's father five years ago, and Brady's father echoed the same sentiments.

---

So we have Tom Brady saying Loeffler is one of the few reasons he's successful today vs a Bama fan on a message board saying he had nothing to do with Brady's success. Shall I listen to Brady or the Bammer?

It's funny how you guys have NO CLUE about the dynamics of the relationship between Brady and our OC but you come on here speaking in absolute certainties as if you were at Michigan at the time.

Sounds like AU hired a damn good QB coach for Mosley/Frazier/Pike..... Congrats.

How many years of play calling does he have under his belt?

The two were close in age, and Brady is doing his buddy a solid.

If you want to say the "The Builder of Brady" is calling plays for AU now, go ahead..

Hell, "NFl observers" consider him a guru. Run with it. "NFL observers" said so..

Tate isn't a sunshine guy for Auburn. In fact he will question what is happening at Auburn openly and honestly. One of the reasons I read his stuff and get his tweets.

Brady has said as much that Loeffler was a big reason for his success. Many coaches, and QB's he has worked with give him accolades for his ability to work on mechanics ad development. So you can call it jumping the shark and dismiss all the info that backs it up, I wouldn't expect anything less from a Bama fan , but I will choose to accept it and give him the chance to prove it.

Only 1, but that at least shows a track record that can be reviewed and judged.. He did a good job with it...

How many years does Bammer's OC have calling plays?

LINK

Above is a tape of Loeffler at his press conference... Seems very solid...

Does anyone have the Link to the Alabama's OC's press conference? I would love to hear that? Did any reporters ask him how it would be to call plays for the first time?

Ok, so we have Brady saying he's a good QB coach and you're saying he's just lying to help his buddy... I'll go with Brady versus a message boarder who hasn't probably stepped foot on a football field past the High school level.

LOL, I showed one of my bammer buddies a picture of McElwain a few weeks ago and he didn't have a clue who he was.

Saban doesn't allow his assistant coaches to speak to the public so it's probably safe to say most bama fans wouldn't know their new OC even if we showed them a pic.

Oh, our new OC is wet behind the ears too. (I was just askin, not trying to be a dick)

Honestly, I'd never heard of our new OC, or your's either. Hell, I had no idea who the hell Jim McElwain was when he was hired.

I will agree that Brady is doing his friend a solid and he would have been a great qb even if the 2 had never met. That said there are numerous other respected coaches who echo the same thing that Brady says. He is a great teacher of qb's and has an excellent football mind. I'm happy with him even though I wish we could have named hime earlier.
