This is exactly my point. The guy will probably do well and all, but touting this guy as Tom Brady's inspiration as if he were Charlie Weis is getting out of hand. He was a GA. Tout anything you want about him, but labeling him as some QB guru based on being a 23 year old GA while Brady was at Michigan is simply laughable.
What does it matter what we label him as to you and your life? Does this effect your feelings towards how you cheer for Bama? Does it threaten you in some way?

How does anything we talk about on this forum affect our lives? We talk football on here because it is a fun sport to follow and debate. Twice in this thread I have said that Chizik did an overall good job in hiring coordinators with the DC being a home run. I'm happy with Bama's OC hire, but I'm not touting him as some wonder kid genius who packs the NFL with Hall of Famers either.

this 18 page p*ssing contest is really getting ridiculous...
bottom line: we won't know how good a hire Loeffler is (or any hire made this offseason for that matter) for some time... we can all speculate and beat to death his resume(or lack there of) until our keyboards fall apart, but that's not gonna change anything.
let's just let it go... wait till at least ADay...

It was your very first one in here where you said this OC hire was a bust. Not exactly you saying overall good hire. Amirite?

I said the DC hire was great, OC hire not so great and averaged together it was a good offseason by Chizik.

Oh, and my contribution to this thread relates to Phillip saying he wasn't Plan B. 40 days and he isn't Plan B? A first year OC at Temple, and he is the reason Brady is in the SB?

I'd go with C or D.

Yep. The 4 plays we will run at ADay will tell us all we need to know. If we see a bubble screen Im going to try to start a riot.

Can someone identify who this is?

Well since you had forgotten what you said a few pages ago. I thought a little refresher would do you good. After you read what you wrote who is more correct me or you?

Coached Tebow for 1 year. Coached John Brantley for 2 years. DC hire was a huge success. OC hire was a bust. Averaged together, not a bad job by Chiz.

Yea, I meant the hire itself was a bust in terms of who he is right now. He might turn out to be great, but right now, that was not a plan A hire like your DC was. And like I said, averaged together, still a solid job by Chizik to get both of these guys.

More recently, he can be blamed for the absolutely pathetic QB play in the Post-Tebow era.

You're welcome.
I guess you guys need to feel good about something, though. After all, Brantley wasn't that bad.

meh, I don't need message board posters to make me feel good about Auburn. You think all the negative posts will change that? Ya no it won't. Your comment just wasn't original is all. That flame has been used several times already.
Who knows if he is good or not, but of course most AU fans aren't going to condemn the hire before giving him a chance. Now you LSU boys have something to hang your hat on to seek change. shite 0 points wtf over?

I'm just glad Brantley's OCs put him in a position to succeed by running the spread-option for 4 of the 5 years he was on campus.

Man how times have changed on the plains since Chizik was hired.
