Doesn't that make Les Miles the longest tenured SEC coach?

Must be nice that they could be quiet about it and fire him the right way.

Part of me thinks LSU backed out due to pressure from the media all week. If we kept our mouths shut maybe we'd be rid of him.

Fisher to LSU was wayyy more likely (and still not very likely).

Yes it does. I believe Saban is next with Mullen 3rd on the list.

LSU absolutely backed out due to media pressure, because nobody involved with our athletic department can shut their fricking mouths.

Every single time we have a potential coaching change, people start screaming from the rooftops that they know everything.

This this this!

Coaching search should start last night, not finish.

Dear UGA,

Please hire Les Miles! He wins 77.5% of his games even if he makes your team a laughing stock of penalties, wasted TOs and embarrassing blowout losses to much less talented teams

If I had to guess immediately I'd say Kirby Smart slides in at UGA. He's been linked there for a while now.

Not sure where that leaves south carolina though. Maybe back to Herman.

And no one in the media had a clue. That's how it should be done.

Richt did a lot of good things for the program, and I wish they could have worked it out to where he resigned instead of got fired. But regardless, it was time. 15 years is a long time in one place, and it felt like the program had gone stale.

Maybe back to Herman.

I thought Herman removed his name from candidacy.
