Schiano should take legal action

He will never get a head coaching job because of this. No school would ever want to consider him now, because of the backlash that may occur.

That would be more action than he took when he allegedly* walked in on Sandusky fondling a kid in the shower

Against whom should he take action?

Tenn because they backed out of a signed contract

Vols twitter.

Ashley Judd has threatened to sue entire fan bases before, Schiano should contact her for advice.

It was an MOU, not a contract.

At this point, there is no specific person to sue. Perhaps if the Tennessee AD says something stupid (which seems possible), he can sue for defamation. Until then, he can't sue the Twitter mob.

That’s exactly what he needs to do. I’m sure he’s anxious to have people dig around some more into his involvement with the cover up.

Lol, so if the MOU had no binding, there would be no such thing as an MOU

If Jimbo Fisher didn’t get money from UAB when he signed a contract and the U of Alabama trustees intentionally torpedoed it, Schiano ain’t getting shite.
Jimbo and UAB came to an agreement and signed a deal then UAB got fricked by the Tuscaloosa contingent on the board.

Yeah this goes way above most peoples head. Especially on here. Many of these official contracts dont get finalized months into when the coach is on campus.

What does that have to do with him not getting a job anywhere else?

Well you totally missed the point.

If he resigned from OSU, there could be a detrimental reliance claim.

We sign MOUs with vendors all the time. Usually they have caveats in them because it's pre-award. Basically a document that says "both parties intend to go into business together." I'm not a lawyer but an MOU is not formally binding, at least not in the way a contract is.
