He might ruin any chance of being a head coach for some time. I sue if I don’t have a HC job in 2 years though.

im sure he will have no issue answering those questions

in many states, a memo of understanding is a contract and is as enforcable as the final agreement itself.

it essentially means: "we formally agree to all the terms, we just haven't had the time to physically write it all down yet."

thus, Schiano would be entitled to the full contract stipulated compensation for termination of the agreement.

with that said, im not sure how it reads in tennesee specifically

You were there?

The other person to whom this event was attributed has flatly denied it.

"We" don't know shite about what happened.

its pretty much ruined any chance he has at getting another HC job at a high profile school

can he prove that this debacle led to those damages is the question?

The Penn St. stuff is just the excuse they needed. They don't like the hire.

I guarantee if Urban or Saban had the same flimsy accusations against them, they would be screaming how slanderous it is and there's no proof.

I'd be willing to wager that a lot of those Tennessee fans who put the kibosh on Schiano because of unproven accusations are also huge Roy Moore fans.

The staggering lack of anything substantial in this situation would make it a slam dunk for any AD who would want him IMO: over 400 people were interviewed regarding the scandal, but Schiano was not. That is how insignificant he was

Right now, because it has been brought in to the limelight and in my humble opinion...As long as he's innocent, this is exactly what he needs to get on the media to say. Get rid of it once and for all...

The only legal action he can take is suing them telling him he had the job, giving him a reason to resign from OSU, and then taking the job away

But once again, that's only if he actually has resigned from his job with OSU

He could take action if the MOU included a liquidated damages clause. It probably didn't, though.

Quit arguing. He’s taking legal action for breach of contract.

I doubt it.

I don't know why investigators wouldn't pick up the phone and interview him. Even if he was out of state during all the investigations, he wouldn't have been terribly hard to find. His 'role' was alleged to be a direct witness (one of the very few). Even if the source is only a second-hand mention you would think that would land somewhere in the top 400 people to grab a statement from.

You don't think authorities have already asked him about this, on record?

LOL, Tenn. owes Schiano nothing. Letter wasn't signed.

Why doesn't Schiano take legal action against McQuery?

Didn't McQuery cash in big on a whistle blower law suit against PSU?

Good question, He may have thought until last year the deposition would remain sealed. That's how he slipped past any possible NFL scrutiny.

IMO, Penn St is still actively hiding what and who knew about the child rape going on over there.
