“As an LSU fan SoCal

Taking the USC job for Riley is a smarter move:

Great recruiting base
Los Angeles > BR
Same money (Just Google USC endowment vs LSU endowment) there’s no comparison
Easier path to Division and Conf championship
Easier path to Playoff
Media Mecca”

What has a school’s endowment got to do with a coach’s salary? Endowments are not used to fund coaching salaries.

If money isn’t a factor, would you rather live in perfect weather, mountains on one side, beach on the other....or Baton f’ing Rouge.

Texas says, nah.

And make sure you keep your arse in Cali when you can’t afford it in a few years.

It’s not a worse job. It’s (USC) is an easier job. It’s the choice you make when you have no chest.

I have no problem living in Louisiana . Love it here . Live in Metairie . Great place . One helluva lot better than Oklahoma … unless you are into calf roping . But , we have that in Louisiana too ! Plus … outstanding food and lovely people !!
Riley didn’t want the competition of the SEC . That’s his thing .

Just because a hot chick picks some dude with tats without job over you does that mean she chose the better man? To me it means she has her preferences and there is also the possibility she is dumnb.

Who said LSU was a worse job? Rich Rod turned down Alabama to stay at West Virginia. Which job is the better job?

It's not a worse job, it's an easier job. LR is soft and knows he can't play with the big boys..

California would crumble quickly without the United States. It has a successful economy primarily because location, certainly not because of its state government, and even more because it is a part of the U.S. It doesn’t have the resources to go it alone. Can you imagine what the taxes would be if it had to provide all of the services now provided by the National government? They would have to build a military from scratch, not to mention all of the social security, and similar programs that would have to be established. While the state pays a boatload of taxes to the US, as companies and their employees relocate into other parts of the US, their state budget would collapse, along with the economy. The population would substantially decrease as people would move to other states. By the way, it already has one of bottom ten public school systems in the country, and not a whole lot higher than Louisiana, a much poorer state. And if the US were to embargo trade with California, it would collapse in a matter of days, while Gulf and Atlantic ports would boom.

this is us freaking c. The Trojans. 9 national titles, 7 heisman winners. For those of us that didn't start watching ball in 2000 USC vs LSU is a no brainer. LSU is a fine job but it's not coaching a cradle of college football. LSU needs to look at auburn or Florida who are historically LSUs equals. Auburns last head coaches have been Terry Bowden, Tom tuberville, gene chizik, Gus and Brian harsin. Florida has been mcelwain, Mullen and muschamp. A coach is not leaving Oklahoma for LSU but will for the Trojans. As much as I detest auburn and their fans at least they know their limitations. U need to be talking to Gundy, maybe Kirk ferentz, Luke fickell is possible and maybe the coach at nc state. Brian Kelly isn't leaving Notre dame for LSU, saban not leaving Bama, jimbo not leaving a&m. I might even give Mac Brown a call.
