Jumped on the first thing smoking out of BR is what I remember. Kiffin has said he regretted leaving UT as well, but both of them are just giving lip service to try and smooth any feathers ruffled by their departure. LSU couldn’t have made an offer big enough to get him back after he got to Bama.

The decision is made about the two programs, not this year’s team

Saban told you his advice on Gameday last weekend. LSU has one 3 championships in the last 25 years with 3 different coaches. Ole Miss hasn't done shite in 60 years. Even he said that you can recruit to LSU easier than Ole Miss.

Leave where you are loved for the unknown? Isn't that what Saban did leaving LSU for the NFL?

Except too many Rebs don't love him anymore. Lane was in a crappy situation. Your success makes you more marketable, which means you have to make some tough decisions.

I think OM fans turning their backs on Lane and forcing a decision pushes him away.

that alone was saban PUBLICLY telling him top go to LSU. verge talks to him all the time. he absoluitely has been consulted to help us get lane.

there has been leaks about it all over. shite just use common sense. verge talks to nick and he talks to lane. its not really hard just dipshits cannot think here.

Lane isn't talking to anyone tonight other than his son and family. He already did all of this talking and gathering advice and his decision is done.

To see one of his own from the Saban tree go there and finish what he started , would be something insane.

Saban hasn’t been the LSU coach in 20 years yet Kiffin would be going there to finish what Saban started?

Also, let’s not pretend Kiffin is among Saban’s favorite former assistants.

Is it true that Saban is hired by LSU as consultant for this year's coach search?

No. He went to the NFL because he wasnt being begged to stay and would not leave LSU for another coaching job.
