Unless you count gracing the opposing sideline of Tiger Stadium next year.

This shite is ridiculous. I wish people would quit reporting this dribble. You are making LSU look like fools by repeating this nonsense.

Fact: Saban is currently in Louisiana recruiting for the TIDE. He is not worried about LSU and he is using our coaching dillema to fuel his recruiting in the state.

He even met with a recruit for next year's class.

Face it: Saban is not coming back to LSU, nor do i want him back. We were good for him and he was good for us. It's over. Can we please throw his name out unless we hear that LSU asked permission to speak with him??

Even if he had an inkling of wanting to come back, i just don't see how LSU would allow it. Make no mistake, that would be a PR nightmare for LSU and Saban. i don't care how you want to sugarcoat it.

I'm sure LSU knows Miles is gone and they have contacted a search firm to contact certain coach's agents to guage their interest, but i do not think that LSU already has someone in place. ala (houston "preacherman" nutt to OM) or Spurrier to LSU, Del Rio to LSU.

I will eat crow if this Saban fantasy ever did take place, but it is a FANTASY and people are laughing.

I hope he doesn't come back either. The whole thing smells bad.

Actually the opposite. Would be the modern day prodigal son headline. Media would drool over themselves to produce feel good stories.

Funny, how you ignore the fact right now that he is taking advantage of our problem and recruiting for a RIVAL frickIN school. What don't you understand? He makes 4 mill/year to win 6 games and those people don't care and are blaming the players.

Who would leave that? LSU is not going to backdoor this thing and NOT ask Bama's permission to talk to him.

So you would like to see LSU asking permission to talk to saban and him say "naah, no thanks"

That would be awsome!

Where are some facts from your side other than that's what you hope to happen??

Is he recruiting for LSU right now on Alabama's dime? Tell me something otherwise that we don't know.

Stop wasting your time on this. Those of us with the capacity to form a coherent thought already know this. Let the rest of them continue with their Saban man-crush.

NTP is not ready to come to LSU. They are kissing his arse solidly right now. When they stop, he will be ready to move on. 4 million a year and everyone blaming the players is Classic!

Wish I could tell you more, but don't want to get Nick in trouble with Alabama's auditing department.

i'm confused why there's so much buzz for a guy who's lost four games in a row, including Louisiana-Monroe. Alabama may not be great this year, but no SEC team should EVER lose to U-LA-MO. that's just embarassing.

given all the circus going over in Tuscaloosa this year, he's lost even more credibility. we don't have to pay this guy $3M and extras to do a job that some up and comer could do for nearly half that salary. i don't care if he has to take a $10M buyout, why do any of us want to take the risk of being stuck with a sinking stock? oh yeah, bc some of the BOS will forgive him, sorry

He could stop it easily. He doesn't because he is interested.

Now, he's not my first choice. RR is. But he could stop it.

It's hard to believe it would happen, but I'm getting the impression it's not BS to believe there is interest on Saban's part. Still don't think LSU should pursue that interest.
