I honestly wouldn't put it past AU to try and hurt Alabama and hope to hire an "up-and-coming" coach. But he's interviewed with at least one program the last three years. We shall see.

Auburn needs to go for an all-out O minded type (Fedora, Petrino sans baagge, etc) to counter Saban's emphasis on D at Bama.
I don't blame Smart for being interested. Auburn would be a great gig but I don't think that's the direction AU should go.
